Known for its rugged cliffs, rolling dunes and wide-open beaches, San Luis Obispo County sits just off the Pacific Coast of Central California. Montana de Oro to the north offers dramatic bluffs, tide pools and adventurous trails. Southward, a string of beaches delivers laid-back surf town vibes running southward along the golden coastline from Prismo to the mighty Oceano Dunes. Inland blends coastal beauty with a vibrant community of cozy restaurants, local wineries and unique art galleries. From the bluffs of Montana de Oro to the sweeping dunes of Oceano, through the heart of its inland streets, and atop distant Morros, San Luis Obispo is a place where nature and culture flow together seamlessly.
Goal: Photograph the region in effort of capturing the quiet tension between land and sea. Through film, I aim to preserve both the raw beauty of the coast along with the human stories woven into the streets of a coastal community which resides against the stillness of their cliff face backdrop.
